The story behind Andalusia

Andalusia was my first record on Cafe De Anatolia, a label that shaped my taste long before it ever released anything of mine.

The track leans into Spanish guitar colour over a rolling organic house groove, that old meeting point between North African and Iberian music.

I kept the arrangement wide and unhurried so the guitar has room to breathe. It still feels like a doorway record for me, the one that opened the next couple of years.
