The story behind Amani

Amani means peace, and that was the whole brief Gees and I gave ourselves. Nothing aggressive, nothing clever, just something calm with a pulse.

The vocal is treated gently, more texture than message, floating over African style percussion that stays light on its feet.

This was our second record together and you can hear us trusting each other more, leaving gaps instead of filling them.
