The story behind Mesaoria

Mesaoria is the dry central plain of Cyprus, flat and hot and very quiet, and that landscape is the whole feeling of this record.

Karno B and I kept the palette narrow: a few stringed lines, dusty percussion, and a lot of empty space between them.

It is the closest I have come to making music that sounds like a place rather than about a place.
